Christian Hip Hop vs. Secular Hip Hop

Christian Hip Hop has always and never received recognition. What I mean is that in underground hip hop, there are so many artists who are Christian spitting as they have always done for years and have been getting recognized for their accomplishments, but nobody knows what they truly stand for. Such example is Mars Ill. Many have heard of them and again and again, people think they are like the next man just doing rap for what it is. After seeing them drop the classic, Raw Material album and then to do collabos with MF DOOM, Cappadonna, and others, you can say that they are quite accomplished. DJ Dust of Mars Ill is in another group with Sev Statik of Albany, New York and they have been signed to drop an album on the newly reformed Rawkus record label.

Christian Hip Hop has been around as long as Hip Hop has been around. True Underground hip hop is Christian because all the flak and hating it receives. The talent is there, the message is ridiculous. So I'm gonna bring to you a few of the best. First, Mars Ill. I mentioned they did a song with Cappadonna so I'll put that one up. Here's one from Neogen of Remnant Militia fame called "Paramedics". And last but not least, THE PROCUSSIONS. If you know hip hop, you know them. They toured with Tribe Called Quest on their reunion tour. They signed with Rawkus. They have done over three world tours. The song "Little People" did some rounds in the underground world and a video was supposed to drop and a remix with Phonte of Little Brother. Christian Music never sounded so good.

Been awhile.....

Its been a little long since a post, and so, I'm back. One thing that i have been busy with is that I'm still working on a couple of musical projects, so it has been taking up my time. I put up two downloads awhile ago and they will be on one of the projects that I'm doing. So more music will be coming later.

But right now i gotta post some Madlib from his Shades of Blue album. Oh So Classic! Also, I am bringing forth international hip hop which is the future of hip hop today. First, the Teriyaki Boyz' song "You Know What Time It Is" featuring production by DJ Premier and Second off, M.I.A. one of the few females in this rap game who can actually rap. Here is a song off of Timbaland's Shock Value UK version called "Come Around".

I-go-indie (Post 2)

Here is two tracks that i have finished for an upcoming EP that I'm doing with a friend of mine and my brother. It is untitled as of now, but we got a few tracks done. I will not be doing any vocals most likely on the album but only the production parts (beats, mixing, etc...). So I'm posting up two that will be available for download for only seven days so if you wanna hear pick 'em up now. I did both beats for both songs. The first song, "Change", was the first one I ever did with my friend, Laguardia Cross, and he has much talent at writing rhymes and making beats as well. The second one we did, "The Place That Needs Love" was supposed to include my brother, but never got that far and due to a lack of communication, he never was able to be on the original. So I may be doing a remix with an extra verse from him in there, so stay tuned. When will the CD be done, i have no idea, but I'm looking into different collaboration projects and stuff and maybe solo work if i get the time, but who knows.
